F1 tyre supplier Pirelli is in Barcelona on Tuesday morning, preparing for two full days of testing its products for the 2013 season. Lucas di Grassi is the designated driver.
Conditions are ideal at the Circuit de Catalunya, with ambient temperatures already hitting 20°C (68°F) shortly after 9am. Brazilian di Grassi, who competed in F1 with Virgin Racing two years ago, is scheduled to be in the cockpit for two full days.
Once again, the Renault R30 chassis of 2010 will be used, decked out in a black livery with Pirelli logos. Italian Luca Filippi and Manchester’s Ben Hanley and will also be at the test, trialling the latest GP2 and GP3 tyres.
