Force India confirms three drivers for test

11 September 2012

Force India has announced that three drivers will be in its car for this week’s Formula 1 Young Driver Test at Magny-Cours. 2012 reserve Jules Bianchi will share the cockpit with GP2 drivers Luiz Razia and Rodolfo González.

“The young driver test is a chance to evaluate promising racers from the junior ranks,” says Team Principal and Managing Director Vijay Mallya. “It’s something we take very seriously and we have always tried to give young drivers time in the car whenever possible.

“We know Jules very well from his work during Friday practice sessions and it will be valuable for him to spend a full day in the car. Luiz and Rodolfo are both established GP2 racers and I look forward to seeing how they get on.”

Tuesday marks F1’s first trip to France’s Magny-Cours since 2008, when Felipe Massa passed Ferrari team-mate Kimi Räikkönen – suffering a broken exhaust – for victory.
