Massa to attempt Ferrari World Record at Silverstone

Massa to attempt Ferrari World Record at Silverstone

12 September 2012

Felipe Massa will become VIP as the Ferrari Challenge moves to Silverstone this weekend. Away from the racing, the Brazilian will attempt to establish a new Guinness World Record as no less than one thousand Ferraris take to the track together.

In his role of guest of honour, Massa will greet fans as well as piloting a 458 Spider; as he does this, 999 other cars will follow the Brazilian, making it the biggest ever procession of Ferraris on one race track.

The aim is to beat the previous Guinness World Record of 2008, which was 490 Ferraris gathered together at Fuji. Before that, Silverstone was home to an earlier best of 385 cars on-track together.

The event will also feature several races as well as non-competitive track outings from cars prepared by the company’s Corse Clienti department.
