Jules Bianchi says he 'learned a lot' during this week's Young Driver test at Magny-Cours, with the Frenchman gathering a vast amount of data while splitting his duties between Ferrari and Force India. The Formula Renault 3.5 title contender topped the timesheets on all three days, coping comfortably with both wet and dry conditions.
"In the morning, I did a few laps to get a feel for the car on the intermediate tyres and even though there was not much grip, it was no bad thing to get some experience in the wet, after two days of dry testing." said Bianchi, who is Force India's reserve driver.
"After a few hours the track dried and we carried on with our programme, centred on aerodynamic and set-up evaluation. I feel I learned a lot from this test.
"I think the work was constructive for me and for the team. We tried to improve the balance of the car and looked at things that could be useful in the upcoming races."
Bianchi's full-time World Series by Renault campaign continues in Hungary this weekend, where he trails current leader Robin Frijns by a slim margin of six points.
