Friday in Marina Bay promised much for Force India, as Paul di Resta and Nico Hülkenberg finished the night in sixth and seventh positions. Naturally, ten top ten grid positions are the target ahead of tonight’s qualifying session under lights in Singapore.
“I think you always need time to get up to speed on any street circuit, so it was useful to have some trouble-free sessions and get the laps under my belt,” said di Resta. “The balance we have with the car is already looking good, but there’s always room to improve things overnight. So I think we’re in decent shape and the data collected should leave us well prepared for Sunday’s race.”
To date, di Resta and Hülkenberg have each completed one Singapore Grand Prix. Last year, the former finished in a strong sixth position for Force India, whereas the former had managed tenth place with Williams a year earlier.
