As the stewards continued their work in Singapore, it was confirmed no action would be taken over first and second place finishers Sebastian Vettel and Jenson Button.
After Michael Schumacher was handed a ten-place Suzuka grid drop for taking out Jean-Éric Vergne, the Red Bull and McLaren drivers spoke with stewards including 2002 Toyota F1 racer and multiple Le Mans 24 Hour winner Allan McNish.
The duo came close to contact at the first Safety Car restart. The McLaren driver was caught out by the World Champion, who was warming up his brakes, and came close to striking the back of the Red Bull at Turn 16.
