Mid-season test to disappear in 2013

Formula 1 governing body the FIA has confirmed that there will be no mid-season test in 2013, with only the pre and post campaign gatherings to remain in place.

Back in May of this year, the teams headed to Mugello in Northern Italy for a three day test, but it failed to conjure up as much interest amongst as initially hoped.

The change was listed in the 2013 sporting regulations, released earlier this week.
