Red Bull has announced that António Félix da Costa will be testing for the team in next month’s Young Driver test session of Abu Dhabi. The Portuguese, who drove a 2010 Red Bull in a Circuit de Catalunya demonstration on Sunday, also comfortably won both rounds of the weekend’s Formula Renault 3.5 finale.
Finalising their line-up of Tuesday 6 November to Thursday 8, Red Bull will run Félix da Costa alongside The Netherlands’ Robin Frijns, who is awarded his outing on the final day as a prize for winning the World Series by Renault title.
Félix da Costa, who will enjoy two full days in the cockpit of the RB8, is a member of the Red Bull Junior driver programme and finished third in this year’s GP3 Series. Hailing from Lisbon, he turned 21 at the end of August.
