India will mark the first time that Romain Grosjean has raced the coandă exhausts on the Lotus E20. The Frenchman, who qualified and finished seventh last time out in Korea, now heads towards the Indian Grand Prix weekend in a positive mood.
“It’s my first time with the coandă exhaust and I’m really looking forward to it,” says the 2011 GP2 Champion. “It’s a good step for the team and this track is very, very nice.
"I think it could suit the E20 because the first part is low-speed corners and then we have some very nice, high-speed corners. I feel like it could be a good weekend.
“I don’t know much of India, unfortunately, but I just need to be careful with the food!”
With four of the 20 rounds remaining in the 2012 Formula 1 season, Grosjean – racing for the first time since 2009 – sits a tight eighth in the standings.
