Horner repeats: Vettel is staying in 2014

2012 Indian Formula 1 Grand Prix: Friday

Christian Horner has stressed that Sebastian Vettel will not be moving to Ferrari in 2014. As the Formula 1 fraternity arrived in India, the future of the reigning World Champion remained a hot topic, as well as the imminent fates of other drivers.

“There’s a lot of speculation,” Red Bull Team Principal Horner told Sky Sports F1 when again asked about the possibility of Vettel racing alongside Fernando Alonso. “Sebastian’s very happy where he is. He will be here in 2014, no doubt about it.”

Moving on to discuss the teams’ latest meeting with FOM head Bernie Ecclestone, which revolved around the 2013 Concorde Agreement, Horner continued:

“It was a good meeting. We went all the way to Paris to have a meeting (last week) and now we were just having a meeting about the (previous) meeting. It was a productive meeting and everybody seems happy with it.”
