Vettel emphasises: There is no Ferrari deal
29 October 2012 – Sebastian Vettel heavily saw off any link with Ferrari, when again questioned on the hot topic after winning the Indian Grand Prix. Over recent months, numerous publications have linked the World Champion with a switch to Maranello for 2014.
Although Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo has stressed that a Vettel-Fernando Alonso link-up would not be favourable for Ferrari, the German was still quizzed over the possibility of jumping ship after next season.
“No, there's nothing - nothing to tell you, nothing I've signed and nothing has changed,” he said in Greater Noida. “I don't know where it came from. I don't read much, so it's quite a surprise when you get to the circuit and get all these questions.
“Actually, there's one thing I would like to say about this. You don't know every single one in the team and it's hard to speak to every single person; so if there's some rubbish in the press, obviously there might be some concerns back in the factory, but I'm 100 percent behind them as I feel they're 100 per cent behind me.”
Vettel then went on to stress that there will be no Ferrari move:
“I want to get this straight - there's nothing to report and I'm very happy at Red Bull.”
