Caterham will be bringing major upgrades to this weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with the team hoping to find around three to four tenths of a second. The outfit is fighting to overhaul rivals Marussia in the Constructors' Championship, having slipped behind when Timo Glock finished 12th at the Singapore Grand Prix in September.
"The Caterham F1 Team will launch a number of technical updates at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix," read the team's race preview. "The package for the Yas Marina Circuit is the most significant update for a number of races from which the team is aiming to find around three to four tenths of second in laptime.
"Among these will be a revised exhaust layout incorporated within new rear bodywork, new front brake duct assemblies and detail updates to the floor, diffuser and front wing."
If Marussia fails to improve upon its personal best race result before the season concludes in Brazil, either Heikki Kovalainen or Vitaly Petrov can reclaim tenth place for Caterham by finishing 12th or higher in one of the final three events.
