Warwick joins Abu Dhabi stewards panel
31 October 2012 – Derek Warwick will be the FIA driver representative steward at this weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, taking on a role he has held on several occasions in the past. Most recently, the Englishman was a member of the decision-making panel in Japan.
Warwick's final F1 appearance came for Footwork at Adelaide in 1993, signalling the end to an 11-year career in the sport. Prior to this he registered four podium finishes, all coming in 1984 with two pairs of second and third places for Renault.
Since August 2011, Warwick has been President of the British Racing Drivers Club (BRDC), taking over the position from 1996 World Champion Damon Hill.
