Williams has set its sights on a double points finish at the Yas Marina Circuit this weekend, with the Grove-based team aiming to build upon an encouraging performance in India. Although Pastor Maldonado lost out after a mid-race clash with Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi, Bruno Senna was able to secure the final point on offer.
"On the back of an improved performance in India we really want to show that the trend is continuing," said Chief Operations Engineer Mark Gillan.
"We will be pushing hard to get both cars in the top 10 in qualifying and from there both Pastor and Bruno should be able to bring the cars home in the points."
Gillan also confirmed that there had been a 'balance inconsistency' with the FW34 in recent races, a problem which was ultimately solved last weekend.
"We have had a balance inconsistency in the car over the last few races and we managed to isolate the cause in India and fix the issue," he explained.
If Williams can make its target a reality in Abu Dhabi, it will add to its sole double points result of the year which came at the Chinese Grand Prix back in April.
