Mark Webber may have out-qualified Sebastian Vettel for the eighth time this year, but Red Bull could not get near Lewis Hamilton and McLaren on Saturday. The Australian will start second, sharing the front row with the 2008 World Champion.
“Congratulations to Lewis and McLaren,” Webber began. “They’ve bumped us off the front row (lock-out).
"We have a good run and we did the best we could, we just did what we could. There was a little bit going on out there, so we need to tidy that up.
“The championship is still important so we need to focus on this race. Lewis and JB (Jenson Button) look very strong, but it was still quite positive for us.”
Unlike Vettel, Webber has now qualified on the front row at four consecutive races.
