Driver-signed book now on sale

6 November 2012

Zoom: Through the Eyes of Formula 1 is now available to buy, making history as it is the first book to feature photographs taken by every F1 driver. All proceeds for the book, which has also been signed, will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. Inside, readers can delve behind the scenes in the life of an F1 driver.

Photos include a driver’s eye view from the cockpit, courtesy of Lewis Hamilton at Spa, plus Sebastian Vettel’s favourite alpine scene and Bruno Senna’s beach paradise. All drivers and Team Principals were asked to snap a photo of their favourite subject and those particular images where auctioned off by Coys back in September. Remarkably, Michael Schumacher’s view from the driving seat fetched £2,500.

“I am delighted that my ‘the office’ photograph fetched so much for this very worthwhile cause,” says Schumacher. “The image encapsulates F1 for me; the cockpit is where I feel completely at home and everything else is second nature. Great Ormond Street has a strong link to our sport and I was glad to be able to support them through the auction.”

The 104-page hardback is courtesy of Dennis Publishing and will be on sale for £20, but there is also a special £75 limited edited version of which only 250 copies have been made; this contains a leather cover and slipcase.

You can now purchase the official book of Zoom.
