Robert Kubica has added another rally victory to his CV. The Pole, still recovering from his horrific crash of February 2011, took the spoils at this weekend’s Rally di Como in Italy. Earlier this year, he also won the Tour Gomitolo di Lana.
During the pre-season testing period for the 2011 F1 season, the Pole suffered near-fatal injuries when the Skoda rally car he was driving was impaled by a metal roadside barrier. Earlier this week, the former BMW and Renault driver admitted that he would still be unable to pilot single-seater vehicles due to a lack of mobility with his right arm.
Initially, this latest rally was solely dedicated to learning about the Citroën C4 that Kubica will also drive in the Rallye du Var next weekend.
