Infiniti will become the title sponsor of Red Bull from the 2013 season onwards. The Japanese car manufacturer has signed a new four year deal with the Milton Keynes-based squad, meaning it will be known as 'Infiniti Red Bull Racing'.
"Red Bull Racing and Infiniti have been working on a number of initiatives since the start of our relationship in 2011," Team Principal Christian Horner explained of the renewed deal. "During that time, Infiniti has demonstrated significant technical prowess and I’ve been impressed by the depth of the wider engineering capabilities of the Nissan Motor Company.
"Infiniti has leveraged their involvement with Red Bull Racing and Formula 1 extremely effectively to become much better known in a short space of time. These two attributes make Infiniti the ideal title and technical partner for Red Bull Racing."
Red Bull's Chief Technical Officer, Adrian Newey, also confirmed that the team will be working closely with Infiniti on a number of technical projects in the near future, such as Energy Recovery Systems ahead of the introduction of new regulations in 2014.
