Suzi Perry has been revealed as the new presenter of the BBC's Formula 1 programme, replacing Jake Humphrey who is moving to BT in 2013. The 42-year-old previously fronted the broadcaster's MotoGP coverage for a total of ten seasons.
"She'll bring real energy and years of experience to one of the biggest jobs in sports broadcasting," said BBC Head of F1 Ben Gallop. "Her presenting ability, coupled with her love and knowledge of motorsport, make her an excellent addition."
The BBC also announced that it will again show ten live races next year, with the remaining ten events being covered in highlights programmes. The season's opening two races and the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix will not be shown live.
The BBC's ten live races in 2013 are as follows:

Round 5: Spain, May 12
Round 7: Canada, June 9
Round 8: Silverstone, June 30
Round 10: TBA*, July 21
Round 12: Belgium, August 25
Round 13: Italy, September 8
Round 16: Japan, October 13
Round 17: India, October 27
Round 20: Brazil, November 24
