Toro Rosso will launch its new car on Monday 4 February, mirroring the decision made by rivals Mercedes. The Italian squad, which is fielding an unchanged line-up of Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Éric Vergne, will unveil the STR8 in the pit lane at Jerez.
Following a challenging 2012 season, which yielded just 26 points, the team is aiming to make large strides this year. In a major structural change last September, highly-rated Technical Director James Key was signed to replace Giorgio Ascanelli.
The battle between Ricciardo and Vergne will also be one of the most important throughout the field. Despite the fact that Mark Webber, who signed a one-year contract extension with Red Bull halfway through the 2012 season, has not outlined his long-term plans, both men are vying for the Australian's seat in the near future.
Toro Rosso's STR8 car launch will begin at 5.30pm local time (GMT +1).
