Lotus driver Kimi Räikkönen has revealed a new helmet design for the 2013 season, opting for a paint job which shows greater resemblance to the E21’s livery.
Established helmet designer Uffe Tägtström, who has been working with Räikkönen for many years, gave an insight into how the overall process works: "Usually Kimi gives a hint of what should be on his helmet for the season ahead. I’ll then make five different versions of the idea with the computer and he picks what he likes the most."
This year, Räikkönen will start his second term since returning, with the 2007 World Champion eager to build upon his sole victory of 2012 and mount a title challenge.
