Marussia announces MR02 launch date
31 January 2013 – Marussia has become the final team to announce the launch date of its 2013 challenger. The car will be revealed moments before the opening test begins at Jerez, on 5 February.
The MR02 is Marussia first car to be designed using wind tunnel technology, with the team scrapping its CFD approach used from its Formula 1 birth in 2010.
British rookie Max Chilton has been signed on to race for 2013 but, after Timo Glock’s mutual departure last week, the identity of his team-mate is yet to be revealed. Last year's GP2 runner-up, Luiz Razia, has been heavily linked to the second seat.
Key rivals Caterham are set to launch their 2013 challenger on the same day.
