Caterham signs Hari Roberts as aero chief

4 March 2013

Caterham has signed Hari Roberts as its new Head of Aerodynamics ahead of next weekend's Australian Grand Prix. Having formerly worked at Jordan, Renault and Lotus, he brings aerodynamic, trackside and simulation experience to the team.

In his new role, Roberts will reunite with Mark Smith, who now holds the role of Technical Director at Caterham, and work closely with Performance Director John Iley.

"I am delighted to have renewed my working partnership with Mark," said Roberts. "Caterham F1 Team has the potential to grow into a serious force in Formula 1 and I am looking forward to playing an integral role in helping the team fulfil its potential."

Having joined Formula 1 as Lotus Racing back in 2010, Caterham is yet to claim its first point. This year, Charles Pic and Giedo van der Garde will represent the squad.
