Red Bull issue is settled, claims Marko
28 March 2013 – Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has claimed that the Malaysian Grand Prix controversy surrounding his drivers is now a closed matter, with Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber said to have shaken hands at the end of an extensive post-race debrief.
Vettel ignored team orders to pass team-mate Webber in the closing stages of last weekend's race, applying further tension to their relationship. But Marko says discussions behind closed doors have allowed a line to be drawn under the situation.
"They don't have to be completely on the same page but it must be a solid working partnership," Marko is quoted as saying by ESPN. "Sebastian apologised in the press conference and I think that was the first correct step to make.
"There was a debrief afterwards with the relevant discussions about the race and then there was a handshake between the two drivers. For us now the issue is settled."
