Mercedes signs agreement with Tata
24 April 2013 – Mercedes has agreed a connectivity-focused partnership with Tata Communications. The Indian conglomerate will speed up the transfer rate between the circuit and the team's factories in Brackley and Brixworth threefold, ensuring that engineers receive performance data from Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton's cars in real-time.
"We are delighted to have agreed our new partnership with Tata Communications," said team boss Ross Brawn. "Formula 1 relies on data and the ability to transfer our data from the track back to our factories in Brackley and Brixworth quickly and securely.
"The Tata Communications global network will play a key role in the team's performance and our ability to react over the race weekends. That we will now be able to achieve our data transfer requirements three times faster is fantastic."
Since last year, Tata has also been an official partner of Formula One Management.
