Button to appear at Brands DTM event
9 May 2013 – McLaren's Jenson Button will attend the Brands Hatch round of the DTM season next Sunday. The 2009 World Champion, who made an appearance at the event last year, is due to take five competition winners around the venue in the category's 'race taxi'.
"Brands Hatch is one of the circuits where you can really feel the tradition of motorsport," said Button, who currently sits tenth in the Formula 1 standings. "I have raced there in Formula Ford and in British Formula 3 and always enjoyed the challenge of the circuit and the fact that the fans could get so close to the action.
"Like last year, Mercedes-Benz will give me the opportunity to take a ride with the DTM 'race taxi', hopefully in the dry this time as it was raining last year."
Force India's Paul di Resta, who claimed the DTM title back in 2010, and Williams development driver Susie Wolff are also due to be present at the race meeting.
