Silverstone enjoys late surge in ticket sales
20 June 2013 – Silverstone has enjoyed a late surge in ticket sales as the British Grand Prix looms, with a circuit spokeswoman explaining to GPUpdate.net that it is still expecting to enjoy "one of its biggest" attendances in recent years despite an initially slow pick-up.
Following a washed-out 2012 race weekend, during which fans were requested to stay at home on qualifying day due to flooded parking areas, venue officials have implemented a series of changes in a bid to prevent similar circumstances.
As this year's race approaches, a variety of tickets are still available, ranging from General Admission to Grandstand seats for single days and the entire weekend.
Jenson Button, Paul di Resta, Lewis Hamilton and Max Chilton make up a four-strong home contingent for the Grand Prix from 28-30 June, although for the first time since 2006 no British driver has claimed a race victory prior to the Silverstone round.
