Altran UK becomes Lotus technical partner
26 June 2013 – Lotus has announced a technical partnership with Altran UK ahead of this weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The new agreement will see the outfit provided with specialist engineering services for the remainder of the 2013 campaign.
Having worked together for a decade under the previous Renault F1 guise, the deal serves as a reunion for both parties. To further aid the team's efforts, a group of dedicated Altran UK engineers will be based on site at its factory in Enstone.
"We are pleased to again welcome Altran into the family of our Technical Partners," explained Lotus CEO Patrick Louis. "Historically, the contribution of their support has had a tremendous impact on the team’s performance, while their desire to discover and nurture engineering talent fits perfectly with our philosophy. We look forward to re-joining forces in what I am confident will be a mutually rewarding journey."
Last week, Lotus announced that it had sold a 35 percent stake to Infinity Racing Partners Limited (Infinity Racing), a consortium made up of private investors.
