Massa sets sights on podium finish
26 June 2013 – Felipe Massa has talked up Ferrari's chances ahead of this weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the Brazilian outlining his belief that the flowing, high speed nature of the Northamptonshire circuit should play to the strengths of the F138 chassis.
Having registered his first podium finish of the season at the Circuit de Catalunya last month, Massa is setting his sights on adding another top three result to his name.
"I believe our car can work well at this race, as that seemed to be the case in China and Barcelona and Silverstone follows that same direction in terms of circuit characteristics," Massa said of the Grand Prix.
"It’s an old-style track with high speed corners, which should suit the F138 chassis, so I expect to have a good weekend. Naturally, I’m looking to score points and hoping to finish on the podium again."
Massa heads into the event occupying seventh in the Drivers' standings on a total of 49 points, 47 adrift of team-mate and former World Champion Fernando Alonso.
