Pirro gets driver steward role for Germany
5 July 2013 – Emanuele Pirro will act as governing body the FIA's driver representative steward at this weekend's German Grand Prix, a role he has held on five previous occasions.
The Italian, 51, started 38 Formula 1 races between 1989 and 1991. His best finish of fifth came at Adelaide in the first of those campaigns, while racing for Benetton.
Outside Formula 1, Pirro claimed five victories at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans, and has also claimed titles in the German and Italian Touring Car Championships.
