You can’t win all the time, says Hamilton
12 July 2013 – Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has insisted he is not too concerned he has yet win with the Brackley-based squad. To date the 2008 F1 World Champion has had a pretty strong year, and he is currently fourth in the Drivers’ Championship with 99 points on the board - 15 more than Rosberg.
However, despite having outscored the German, it is Rosberg that has taken the victory laurels, with triumphs in Monaco and Britain.
Asked about his failure to get on the top step of the podium, Hamilton told British newspaper, The Sun, it was not the end of the world.
“What you learn is to take losses on the chin and to learn and grow from those experiences. You can’t always be ahead of your team-mate. You can’t win all the time, that’s the biggest thing I have learned [in 2013],” he said.
“Some things happen for a reason. But I am still the same as always. I drive aggressively and go out to win.”
