Toro Rosso names three youngsters for test
16 July 2013 – Toro Rosso will run Johnny Cecotto Jr., Carlos Sainz Jr. and Daniil Kvyat at this week's Silverstone test, in addition to race drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Éric Vergne.
Cecotto Jr., 23, drove for the team at last year's Abu Dhabi young driver gathering and will be first to drive the STR8 on Wednesday. The Venezuelan is contesting his fourth full GP2 campaign and sits 14th in the standings after a mixed start to the year.
GP3's Sainz Jr., 18, is set to take over on Thursday morning, gaining mileage ahead of his run in the RB9 on Friday. Ricciardo and Vergne will then conduct tyre evaluations with Pirelli's new range on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning respectively.
Kvyat will be the final young driver at the wheel on Friday afternoon. The 19-year-old, like fellow Red Bull junior team member Sainz Jr., is racing in the GP3 series.
