Di Resta hoping for 'fresh start' in Belgium
20 August 2013 – Paul di Resta is hoping this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix will yield a 'fresh start' for the Force India team, having endured troublesome races in Hungary and Germany.
After recording points finishes in all bar one of the opening eight races, the Scot and team-mate Adrian Sutil have struggled to extract speed from Pirelli's significantly modified tyres, which feature 2012 construction blended with the 2013 compounds.
Speaking ahead of the Spa-Francorchamps event, di Resta explained: "We need to get the car working for us like before. In Budapest it was difficult to drive, but sometimes you get those tough weekends. Since then we have regrouped and analysed the previous races properly and hopefully this weekend will be a fresh start.
"We usually do well in Belgium and everyone is determined to get back to the situation we had at the start of the year when we seemed to be punching above our weight."
Force India occupies fifth in the Constructors' standings ahead of this weekend's race, the Silverstone-based outfit leading McLaren by a margin of two points.
