Sutil expects strong Monza performance
28 August 2013 – Adrian Sutil expects Force India to field a strong car at the Italian Grand Prix, alluding to the team's competitive straight-line speed that was once again evident in Belgium.
For the past four seasons, Monza is the only venue at which Force India has scored points on an annual basis, with Sutil's best result of fourth being achieved in 2009. And heading into this year's event, the German is hopeful of another rapid showing.
"We usually have good straight-line speed and good efficiency," said Sutil, who finished ninth at the Spa circuit. "I think we can expect a similar performance level in Monza. Last year the car was fast: Paul [di Resta] was in the top ten, but Nico [Hülkenberg] set no qualifying time because of a technical issue.
"I'm always positive and you have to push on all the time. We had a good result at Spa and the next race is a new chance. We want to score as many points as possible, so I'm fully motivated."
Force India fell behind McLaren – to sixth position – in the Constructors' battle at the Belgian Grand Prix, with the difference between the two teams a slender four points.
