Lotus links up with Dubai property firm
5 September 2013 – The Lotus team has confirmed a new two-year partnership with Emaar Properties, a Dubai-based residential and commercial property investment company whose portfolio includes The Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa; the world’s tallest building.
Commencing from this weekend's Italian Grand Prix at Monza, the agreement will see Emaar branding feature on the cars of Kimi Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean.
"We are delighted to begin this new relationship with Emaar Properties," explained Lotus team boss Eric Boullier. "With this new partnership with the developer of such iconic projects as Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall, we are looking forward to some home support as we race in the UAE once again this year. We are also very excited to see how this partnership will further enhance Lotus F1 Team's brand value."
Lotus' Emaar tie-up adds to recent deals with computer software giants Microsoft, consumer goods brand Unilever and soft drinks firm The Coca-Cola Company.
