Vettel: We're just enjoying the moment
6 October 2013 – Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel was suitably delighted after extending his run of wins to four at the Korean Grand Prix, a result that puts him 77 points clear in the title race.
Nearest rival Fernando Alonso, who finished Sunday afternoon's race in sixth position, is more than three victories in arrears with five races of the season remaining. It is thus possible for Vettel to notch up a fourth successive crown in Japan next weekend.
"I'm extremely happy with the result," said Vettel, who has won the past three races at the Korea International Circuit. "We had very good stops; the timing was quite good the second time as the Safety Car came out a couple of corners before the pit entry.
"Fortunately we had enough pace to hold a bit of a gap. Kimi [Räikkönen] and Romain [Grosjean] were competitive the longer the stint. They did a good job with the tyres.
"But I'm loving what I do; the team is fantastic so we're just enjoying the moment."
Looking ahead to next weekend's Japanese Grand Prix, which the reigning World Champion has mastered on three previous occasions, Vettel explained: "I think [Suzuka] is the best track in the world to be honest. I'm really looking forward to it."
