Vettel backed to win fourth Suzuka race
10 October 2013 – Sebastian Vettel has been tipped to win this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix, with 38 percent of voters in the latest GPUpdate.net poll opting to back the Red Bull driver.
The German, who can secure a fourth successive world title if he claims victory and nearest rival Fernando Alonso finishes ninth of lower, has won three of the past four races at Suzuka, with McLaren's Jenson Button the only driver to affect his run in 2011.
Kimi Räikkönen is Vettel's biggest threat in the eyes of the readers, the outgoing Lotus driver collecting a 32 percent share. Alonso wound up third on 15 percent, while ten percent believe Lewis Hamilton will earn a second victory in Mercedes colours.
Mark Webber and Nico Rosberg are rank outsiders, while just one percent of voters feel that a driver outside the top six in the standings can take the chequered flag first.
Opening practice at Suzuka gets underway at 10am local time (GMT +9) on Friday
