Sauber launches new cutaway video
21 October 2013 – Sauber has launched an interactive cutaway Formula 1 car video, allowing viewers to select various sections and be taken to footage explaining the purpose of each part.
Following on from its popular steering wheel video, which enables users to click each button and find out more about them, the cutaway car features a total of 15 key parts, ranging from the drivers' seat to the airbox and the pedals to the team radio system.
Former design chief Matt Morris, who switched to McLaren earlier this season, plus current drivers Nico Hülkenberg and Esteban Gutiérrez describe the various items.
"The Sauber F1 Team is doing a great job explaining the inside story of Formula 1 in an engaging and social way," commented Stephen Nuttall, Senior Director, Sports YouTube EMEA at Google. "It is giving its fans an engineer's and driver's point of view."
Sauber's latest interactive video can be viewed via its official YouTube channel.
