Pérez confident Mexico will return in 2015
6 December 2013 – Sergio Pérez is optimistic that his home country of Mexico will return to the Formula 1 calendar in 2015.
The Grand Prix had been set to return next season but was ultimately dropped off the final roster, published after a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council on Wednesday.
"I was expecting it, so I am not that disappointed," said Pérez after the 2014 calendar was released.
"We are a lot closer now than we were a couple of months ago. I have big hopes that 2015 can be when Mexico happens."
Pérez is searching for a new Formula 1 drive after being dropped by McLaren, and has been tipped to join Nico Hülkenberg at Force India.
