Di Resta thanks Force India for 'great years'
13 December 2013 – Paul di Resta has spoken out for the first time since being dropped by Force India, the Scot thanking the Silverstone-based outfit for "four great years".
On Thursday, former McLaren driver Sergio Pérez was announced on a "multi-year" agreement, leaving di Resta and team-mate Adrian Sutil on the sidelines.
"I just want to take this opportunity to thank Force India for four great years," said di Resta via Twitter. "As a team we've come a long way in our time together.
"But it's now time for a new challenge for me in the next phase of my career and I wish them all the best for the future. It's been a pleasure."
Di Resta has loosely been linked with one of the vacancies at Sauber, but his most likely option appears to be a return to the DTM, a series he won back in 2010.
