Ferrari fans to gather for Schumacher
2 January 2014 – Ferrari fans will rally to show their support for Michael Schumacher on Friday, with a ‘silent’ and ‘respectful event’ planned outside the Grenoble hospital, where the seven-time F1 world champion is being treated.
Schumacher, who raced for Ferrari from 1996 to 2006 and who turns 45 tomorrow, is currently in a stable but critical condition after sustaining a serious head injury in a skiing accident in the French Alps on Sunday morning.
A brief statement posted on Ferrari’s official Facebook page reads:
“In these difficult days and on the occasion of his birthday the Scuderia Ferrari Clubs want to show their support for Michael Schumacher, organising tomorrow [Friday] a silent and respectful event all in Red at the Grenoble University Hospital Center. Do you want to participate? Find the Club closest to you and contact it for further information!”
