Mercedes supporting Schumacher at Jerez
27 January 2014 – Mercedes' new Formula 1 car will feature a message of support for Michael Schumacher at Jerez.
The German, who raced for the Brackley-based outfit between 2010 and 2012, remains in an induced coma at Grenoble hospital after suffering a serious head injury in a skiing accident in the French Alps last month.
There has been no official update on Schumacher's condition since January 17, when his manager, Sabine Kehm, reinforced that his family is "very happy and confident" over the treatment carried out by doctors.
Throughout the four-day test, the new F1 W05 – to be launched on Tuesday morning – will run with the message '#KeepFightingMichael', which the team has encouraged fans to use on social networking platform Twitter.
