Red Bull needs more time, says Ricciardo
23 February 2014 – Daniel Ricciardo says Red Bull simply needs more times to address the problems with its new RB10.
The Australian, who has graduated to the reigning World Champions from junior outfit Toro Rosso, was restricted to just 43 laps over two days in Bahrain, with a range of technical issues continuing to hold the team back.
"I guess we still need more time," said Ricciardo. "We have four more days and hopefully we can maximise those.
"I have to say that on the run we did [on the final day of the test] the car did feel better. But unfortunately another problem arose and we couldn't exploit that potential. I hope we can do more running next week.
"I'm happy I'm doing the first two days. At this stage we just need laps and I'm hanging to get back in the car."
Sebastian Vettel was able to complete a slightly healthier total of 70 laps during his two days at the wheel.
