Grosjean takes victory in Moscow ice race
24 February 2014 – Romain Grosjean won the Race of Stars ice event in the Russian capital of Moscow on Sunday.
Co-organised by Lotus engine supplier Renault, it is one of the longest-running motorsport events in Russia, and sees drivers from various racing disciplines take to an oval ice track in Renault Dusters and Logan cars.
Having taken part in the race once before, Grosjean fought off the competition to claim the victory.
"It's the second time I've been here and every time I enjoy it more and more," he said. "You get to know the style of how to drive on ice, how to be even smoother on the throttle and carry more speed through the corners.
"It's really good fun and very well supported from local fans and media so the atmosphere is always fantastic.
"Now it's back to work for us at the next test in Bahrain, but this has been a good way to spend the break!"
Grosjean will drive on the final two days of the final pre-season test at the Bahrain International Circuit.
