Red Bull confirms schedule for final test
25 February 2014 – Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo will run on the opening two days of this week’s Bahrain test, it has been confirmed.
The Aussie will then hand over the Renault-powered RB10 to team-mate and four-time F1 world champion, Sebastian Vettel, who will conclude the four-day session. Red Bull have struggled in the first two pre-season tests and last week only did 116 laps in total - 14 on day 1, 59 on day 2, 28 on day 3 and 15 on day 4 - whereas Mercedes and Williams both did over 300.
“I hope we can do more running next week,” Ricciardo remarked after last week’s test at the Sakhir circuit. “I'm happy I'm doing the first two days. At this stage we really just need laps and I'm just hanging to get back in the car.”
