Pérez positive about Force India progress
28 February 2014 – Force India driver Sergio Pérez expressed his confidence after setting the fastest time for the second successive day at this week's final pre-season test in Bahrain.
While rival teams are still struggling to complete significant running, the Mexican was able to put together long runs and focus on set-up work ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, which takes place in two weeks' time.
Pérez also sampled several of Pirelli's dry tyre compounds across his 108 laps in the VJM07.
"It feels very good to have another full day and to do so many laps," he said.
"It's my last time in the car until we arrive in Melbourne and I'm feeling positive about how things are going. The set-up work was very useful because we tried some different things to have a better direction for the first race.
"Everything went to plan and we managed to complete all the long runs in the afternoon."
Nico Hülkenberg will take over from Pérez for the remainder of the test.
