Fernando Alonso placed third on 17 per cent, five per cent ahead of Hamilton's team-mate, Nico Rosberg, while Williams driver Felipe Massa, who set the pace in pre-season testing, finished fifth with nine per cent.
Current title holder Sebastian Vettel picked up just five per cent of the votes after his Red Bull team's pre-season struggles, ahead of McLaren duo Jenson Button and Kevin Magnussen, who ended on three per cent shares.
