Mercedes dedicates victory to Schumacher
17 March 2014 – Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff has dedicated the outfit's Australian Grand Prix victory to former driver Michael Schumacher.
Schumacher, 45, remains in a medically-induced coma at Grenoble Hospital after a skiing accident in the French Alps in December.
Nico Rosberg, who partnered Schumacher for three seasons, dominated the Melbourne season-opener to triumph by more than 20 seconds.
"This victory has a very special meaning for us. I would like to dedicate it to Michael, who has been in all our thoughts this weekend," said Wolff.
"He will keep fighting, as only he knows how, and we are sending all our strength to him."
