Mark Sutton: Story behind the shot - Bahrain
11 April 2014 – Especially for lovers of motorsport photography, GPUpdate.net is this season running a feature series entitled Story behind the shot. Mark Sutton of Sutton Images, who provides our website with pictures, will choose his favourite photo from each Grand Prix weekend with a description as to how he captured it.
Bahrain Grand Prix: Spectacular evening start
Mark Sutton: "The start of the race was quite spectacular, with plenty of side-by-side action. In the middle of the pack, you can see Sergio Pérez having a massive lock-up as he hits the brakes. The race started at 6pm, so there was a little bit of light in the sky. But there were a lot of big lights at the first corner – it was probably the best lit part of the track. I stayed there for pretty much the entire race as there was so much action going on."
