Kvyat aiming for return to points in China
14 April 2014 – Daniil Kvyat says he hopes to return to the points-scoring positions at this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix.
The Toro Rosso rookie, who claimed last year's GP3 Series crown, recorded top 10 finishes during his first two Formula 1 races in Australia and Malaysia, but narrowly missed out on points at the recent Bahrain event.
"I was disappointed to finish just outside the points at the last race and, after learning a lot about the car at the post-Bahrain test, I hope we can aim for another top 10 finish, on what looks like a challenging track," said Kvyat.
Although the Russian, 19, has not driven at the Shanghai circuit before, he is confident of adapting quickly.
"I've watched lots of Shanghai races on TV and after Bahrain I was able to drive it on the simulator," he added.
Kvyat trails more experienced team-mate Jean-Éric Vergne by one point in the championship standings.
